Coverage of G20 protests

For a variety of reasons, it seems that coverage of social movements, is increasingly being conducted through blogs rather than traditional media outlets. Here’s a short list of G20 coverage:
– Coverage by a Toronto-based blog here.
– A collection of Twitter updates about pedestrians, bystanders, media, and protesters rounded up the police here.
– For a tour of the temporary detention center, click here.

Some commentators have wondered whether provocateurs from law enforcement are responsible for inciting or setting fires and other violent activities. For a historical take on relations between law enforcement and social movement groups in the U.S., don’t forget David L. Cunningham’s There’s Something Happening Here: The New Left, the Klan, and FBI Counterintelligence.
